Emma-Liza's Journal
Maybe it's the food, or...
...maybe it's the full moon in Capricorn!
All the changes I've been making in my eating have pushed me to start cleaning out other areas of my life. I spent all morning yesterday rearranging furniture (what little is rearrange-able!), books, files, and other items in my cubicle.
Ever since I was moved to an area without windows (for many years, my cubicle faced a courtyard--flowering trees, birds, sun:)), I have struggled wanting to give it any personality. It's so beige and florescent. I started doing art collages a few years ago, and I had got brave enough to hang one of my own pieces in my space. I have poster of a Charles Pendergast painting, "Holiday Beach Scene," some nice pottery for eating lunches, a few other pretty things (mostly gift-y knick-knacks and 2 pieces of original art from friends) already at work.
Sooo, I made a new-feeling space for myself, with more floor space and more open space on the shelves and desks, all of which help it feel bigger. All the pretty things are in one place and the rest of the space is clean and functional. Just my style!
Last night D--
Marinated mushrooms and "gravy" on
bed of arugula with honey mustard dressing
(so in the mood for mustard!)
Later, a few thin slices melon
Sleep: 7 hrs (dreamed I ate a bunch of SAD and then panicked because I had forgotten that I was eating raw!!)
B--
usual coffee beverage
brought oat groats and dried apricots, soaked overnight and buzzed in the mini (this really doesn't do much to the groats, but makes the fruit into a slurry)
Almond milk
banana
L--
at the mercy of the salad bar
I need GREENS, so will concentrate on those
PS: I couldn't double-duty the meal last night b/c Mr.Liza doesn't really eat mushrooms (he has yeast issues). So, I made his meal with veggies and greens I'd overbought that were in danger of going bad. Pattypan squash and red onion lightly sauteed together with some swiss chard, sprinkled with ginger sesame gomasio (served with brown rice). Smelled great, but, no, I didn't taste even a bit of 'em.
