Yesterday didn't go as anticipated. I made a fabulous superfood smoothie. Used half a white coconut with blueberries and strawberries, then added every superfood in the house. The blueberrries changed it to a beautiful color, and it tasted great. It took away all my cravings for the entire day!

Think it was more than just the superfood smoothie that changed my plans for the day. I got very agitated over several things that happened throughout the afternoon and evening. Won't bother with details, it's just life. It occurred to me that my perception may be colored by another round of detox. Went for a walk about 5:00 to correct course, the heat only made it worse.

Around 7:00 I added fresh herbs to a bit of zuchinni hummus and ate that on 3 raw crackers. I had walnuts soaking for tacos, so I half heartedly made the salsa and walnut meat, washed the cabbage leaves, chopped romaine. When all was prepared I laid it out on the table. It looked beautiful, but I didn't want it. Put it all way.

After putting away the untouched meal I did a short inventory of what was going on with me. Figured out what might help. Filled the blender full of watermelon, blueberries, and frozen strawberries. It was exactly what I needed.

Not going to make any plans for today's menu. Going to make a superfood smoothie for brunch, then I'll just let the day flow and follow my instincts.

It is much cooler today, and I'm feeling peaceful. Writing about it helps. Reading your blogs and comments helps, too. It's a great way to start (or end) the day. Thanks so much.

Postscript: Opened the fridge to get smoothie started. The smell of the cilantro in the salsa hit me. Made a big taco with extra chili powder on top and ate it standing over the sink. Followed with 3 dried turkish figs. Now I'm going to get on my walking shoes and get going before the sun burns off the clouds and it heats up again. Maybe I'll have that smoothie for dinner....emphasis on maybe.

RawKnitster, you are doing it right! Listening to your body and your spirit is exactly what is needed every day. We're in tune enough to know what works in general, and next thing ya know, we're setting up a plan or schedule and then have to experience a big "unsettle-ment" to get our attention that today needs to be different! That maybe every day needs to be a little bit different....Hope your walk was great! :)

That is an excellent idea with the non[-planned menu. I don't know how many times I throw out food because I don't want later in the week. Maybe we should just turn into Europeans and shop every other day. I freeze soaked nuts and they turn out beautifully in pates and soups. I'm doing the supersmoothies...amazing stuff raw cacao!

Better day today? I hope so. You are one great raw chef, you know that?! Yes you are - I can tell. You have a vivid imagination and you have the courage to try different things and you aren't lazy. Good girl. And your comments on my blog are so appreciated. I know it is hard to find the time to do it. I certainly can't keep up properly with them all. Guess what? I had a major cheat today. COFFEE!! I used the headache I had all day as an excuse to have one to get rid of it.
