Day 9 - can it be???

Rate this Entry
Can it be that I made it through one whole week already? And then some??? Amazing!

Today has been wonderful. I feel renewed and ready to continue on this path. I have been 100% raw today (after having a few slips the past few days - enough!!) I made rice krispie treats for my kids and resisted the temptation to have one or two or three... In the past, I would have eaten them out of the bowl before even pressing them into the dish! :) So, that's something. I can say I have been thinking about food less, too. Today I ran into a friend in the grocery store and she kept going on and on about my hair, my face, my weight, etc - asked me if I had had a facial, if I'd lost weight, etc... I see her every week (at Yoga) so maybe it was just the fact that I was wearing normal clothes and had some make-up on, but I DO feel glowy and prettier. My jeans are definitely looser, too. Even my small ones! Next week is my annual pap - not excited about that, but am excited about weighing in. I am about 3 months overdue for it, but at my last annual, I weighed about 40 lbs more... :) Plus, my scale broke about a month ago, so I'm curious to see what I weigh!

So, I feel good. No detox symptoms - digestion a bit sluggish from my slips, looking forward to improvement there.

ate today: 2 bananas, 2 clementines, small handful of grapes
snack - handful of almonds (hopefully raw) and 3 mejool dates
lunch - baby carrots in guacamole
snack - none yet but will have an apple
dinner - will have a big salad w/ olive oil, lime and lots of veggies and avo.
Water: so far about 48 oz, so have some work to do
Exercise: grocery shopping, moving furniture for carpet cleaner, tonight teach Yoga at 8 pm, so will get about 30 minutes of actual practice while teaching the hour class... PS I love this website! You all are awesome!
