Needing New Clothes
My husband, Shadeaux and I went to Anchorage yesterday. Shadeaux is our black poodle who will be two next October. The weather was beautiful and that made the trip more enjoyable. We stopped and visit with Dawn for just a minute before heading back home after our shopping was done.
I have lost enough weight that I needed some new clothes and I wanted to buy skirts that are knee length instead of the full-length I usually wear. I was able to buy clothes in the regular ladies section for the first time in years! So, I got eight new tops and three new skirts. I will get more clothes in the fall when I have lost even more weight and hopefully am yet another size or two smaller on my way to becoming a size 6 or 8.
We also went to Walmart where I bought three new lamps to use for the birds using some new light bulbs that will be considerably less expensive to use and better for us too. I also bought a new small refrigerator to house the fresh veggies, nuts, and fruits for the birds. Now that I am doing so much better I want to once again start feeding them much closer to their in the wild type diet and get them pretty much off the seeds. I had just started that approach when I had the stroke.
I am also going to get back to feeding the dogs a more natural diet, too, of fresh chicken and turkey from the store and just giving it to the dogs to eat as is! They will also be getting some fresh veggies and fruits along with the raw meats. They really enjoyed eating like that until I had the stroke and then they have been eating a fairly good dog food, but it is still just dog food and nothing similar to what they would eat if give the chance to eat what they really want and need.
