Making some progress

The visit continues. DB is high maintenance, which is why I haven't had much time or space to blog. We did have a breakthrough yesterday. He admitted that being so fat that you can't walk is a hindrance and he seems to be getting motivated to look after his health. We set a goal for him, for one year.

I couldn't get him interested in raw, unfortunately. However, by the next visit (late October) I will have been raw for 3-1/2 months in a row, and I should be looking and feeling great. I'm hoping that the results will be so dramatic he'll reconsider going raw. Right now, he hates vegetables, but I know he liked raw veggies when we were kids. It's just a question of being willing to retrain your taste buds. When you love cooked food and self-indulgence as much as DB does, it's hard to make a change.

I wanted to show him the before and after thread with the pictures, but that will have to wait until October, I guess. Four more days to go and then I'll eagerly go into detox again.

I miss all my raw friends...

You may not have convinced him on raw, but you planted a seed. He's thinking about his health! I'm convinced that even when our friends and family don't "go raw", they still become more aware of what they are eating, and start to make better choices. Enjoy your time together.
