Green Woman - I LOVE RAW!!!

D.52 - Of Champaigne Hangovers and Kombucha

Rate this Entry
I hate SAD bread ... and cheese ... and champaigne...

Because by eating them last night at my friend's birthday party celebration and the job celebration later that evening, I am now suffering today.

I smile because I knew I would hurt because of them but I chose anyway to have a few sips of champaigne, a healthy handful of roasted peanuts, cheddar cheese on my salad (I told them NO cheese, NO meat, NO eggs, but... yeah... so much for restaurants doing what you order right! ), and a handful of bread later that evening with the champaigne (which was a sorry attempt at absorbing the alcohol so it wouldn't go straight to my head, since I am hypoglycemic and had to drive home soon).

I was glad to share that toast with my friends, and I was at my ease eating the cheese on my salad and the fistful of bread, since it was a Bread&Mead Toast, but at the same time...

...it always reenforces for me why I love RAW food so much.

RAW = Joy, Peace, Bliss, Health and Cheer

SAD = Aching Body, Aching Head, Pain in Joints, Overfull feelings, Struggle

TODAY

I am sipping an almond/coconut oil/banana/honey smoothie, and I whipped up a huge kale/spinach/avacado/banana/apple/honey smoothie for lunch/dinner today. I also had a bite of a Rawvolution chocolate/raspberry bar, but it was too rich for me to stomach after my feast of SAD last night, so I passed on it for the simpler foods.

I have also some of my favorite 90% raw Kombucha, the Cosmic Cranberry, to steady my appetite today and help with the hungover feeling I have from the champaigne.

You see, even when I was SAD eater, I couldn't handle much alcohol without getting drunk feeling or hungover. If I ever finished a drink in one night, it was a feat!!!
