Descent into SADness

Rate this Entry
I'm allergic to cooked food. Last night I felt light-headed, my head got all stuffed up and my nose ran.

This morning I had severe hunger pangs. Hunger is different when you are raw--it's a gentle reminder from your body that nutrition is needed. The hunger I experience on cooked food is a panicked call from the body saying it's starving to death here!

I thought I nibbled all the time on raw food, but just the opposite. I eat only when hungry (which is every other hour or so) but on cooked food I prowl around looking for more and more and more to eat.

I'm keeping this record to make sure I know why I want a raw food lifestyle for the rest of my life. Be patient with me here--DB's visit will be long, almost ten days. I will make it a worthwhile (I hope) study of the different experiences I have.

I agree, these will be good journal entries for you to look back at for a reminder. Maybe you could make a lovely fruit salad to share with your brother? If nothing else it might satisfy you for a little while. Were you still including some raw in you diet? I think you said you were, but it's been a tiring last couple days & I don't recall at the moment. Either way - the ten days will go fast & you can come home to raw as soon as you're ready - we'll be waiting! ((((hugs))))

Good idea keeping a journal. I used to stop journaling after a day or two. After I fed every craving I ever had, then I would finally get back to raw. Of course by then I would have gained at least 8 lbs and felt like crap, chewing tums every night. Yuck. Better to let the S.A.D. in a little than go overboard. Sounds like your handling it better than I ever did. Looking forward to your next entry.
