Day 25

Rate this Entry
Yesterday I uncooked up a storm. I made onion bread and Alissa's veggie crackers. They are still in the dehydrator but should be ready for supper tonight.

When I first tried going raw, I was stymied every time b/c I'd pick up the uncookbook at 4 pm and try to make supper, only realizing then that I had to soak something for 8 hours and dehydrate something else for 13 hours. That was one reason I gave up.

But I'm getting much better at it now. I'm especially happy about fruit leather. I think this might be a good way to store up fruit for the winter. And it's handy to take with me.

Tomorrow I have to go shopping for DB, who is coming Friday. Yes, it's back to the SAD world, but only temporarily. I know how I feel raw and I like it.

As to cats, when I found Rosie I had two grown orange cats, Spike and Hector. I lost both of them three years ago this month. Rosie grieved a little but then was very happy being an only cat. But I kept hurting, so when a friend found a pregnant stray cat, I adopted two of the kittens. They will be 3 this month.

Enjoy your visit with DB! You can get back on the path again. I still have to shop and cook for my family, too. Find I am making better choices for them. Even if it is S.A.D., it's not as bad as it used to be. Hope your DB appreciates all your cooking and uncooking.

What a couple of cuties! I love orange kitties. Had one for 18 years. He was quite the rascal. Would hide in doorways and attack my legs. Ruined a lot of pantyhose! That's nice that you have a family of cats to keep each other company.:)

Beautiful kitties. Soft, cuddly, soothing to our touch. Right? Some are talkers too! I always want a talker. Thanks for sharing pics with us. Did you like your veggie flax crackers? I haven't tried them. Should I? I am happy that you are rawking on nicely.:)
