Overcoming temptation

I had to go to the store last night before coming home. Right by that store is a place I used to go to alot.

I decided to take the long way out of the store prevent from passing by that area.

I got home and knew that if I didn't eat something I might just get everyone loaded in the car and head back out. That's sad to say that I even THOUGHT about doing that.

But I didn't. I cut myself some watermelon, shared that with the boys and had some broccoli. I'm so glad that I didn't give into my temptation and stuck with I knew was right.

Plus I don't feel horrible and guilt like I would have if I had gone out of my way to eat something I really didn't want to.

The potluck got cancelled until next Friday. Which is fine with me! Maybe I'll have time to create a raw dish to bring between now and then.

    You stayed strong! Give yourself a pat on the back! Those thoughts can come out of nowhere, or can just pop up out of habit. It's ok, we all have them. It's indulging those thoughts that can get us into trouble. You had a strategy and stuck to it. Good for you.

    thank you so much. i feel so good about my choice last night!
    i take avacado w/ me to work along w/ celery and people make fun of me. today i wore a green shirt and my manager said wow, matching your food now huh.
    i took a pic last month with my cell phone and then today and i notice a difference!!!!
    i'll have to post it when i get home! so exciting to see changes and a difference!
    my daughter pointed it out when i showed her i hope she wasn't just being nice but i saw a change too. :)
