Little victories

Well I went hiking with my friend today and what an experience! I have never felt so good to make it to the top of a mountain like it did today!

I've been doing really well and have lost 6 pounds. Just feels good to realize things are moving in the right direction.

My friend who has lost 60 pounds in 6 months has been a great motivater to me! She is doing an awesome job and it encourages me to see her still at it!

When I was climbing the hill today and wanted to give up I decided to look down and not see how much farther I had to go! Just one step at a time and focusing on making it to the next little goal was enough for me. If I looked how far I had to climb I would have given up in the beginning.

Towards the end I didn't think I was going to make it and felt sick. What motivated me actually is my ex. He used to hound me to death about my weight and how if I loved him I'd lose weight yada yada yada. I want to feel and look healthy and the next time I see my ex I hope his jaw drops to the ground! Crazy reason to feel motivated, but gotta use what works!

Can you imagine saying those words to someone?! How silly! Love doesn't have much to do with the scale, in my opinion. Great job with the hike. I always feel like I'm going to cough up a lung when I do the stairmaster.

Great job & great attitude! I can see why he's your ex....lol - if mine ever said that to me - he'd be seeing my shoe to his behind as well! Keep up the great work~

Yep that's why he's my ex. Yes those words that have been spoken ring so loudly still to this day.
I'm replacing those with positive affirmations and positive people in my life.
My friend who hiked with me yesterday is such an encouragement!
True love doesn't love at the scale, but my ex sure does with me.
But, I'm better off for it and realize I'm finding a whole new me that was buried for 14 years!
