Day 20

Who would have thought I'd get this far? It's easier now. When I think of SAD foods I know how sick they would make me feel and I don't crave them anymore.

Before I started this I went gluten free and had all sorts of GF products in my cupboard. While regular things went to the food bank, the GF stuff went to a coworker who is GF. I ran into her yesterday. She thanked me for the stuff but asked why I was giving her so much. I told her I am raw now. She was very positive and enthusiastic. She told me that she heard "you can live forever on a raw diet."

It was so nice to get positive feedback from someone at work.

I made apple Essene bread yesterday and fruit leather. Both turned out okay this morning. The fruit leather is a bit tart--I'll have to remember to add a bit of sweetener next time. The Essene bread did not ferment, which is a big improvement. But I'm not crazy about how it tastes.

Today I have two more new recipes planned. It may be time to try pizza again b/c now I think my tastebuds have evolved a bit. I remember my first attempt at pizza was Day 2 or 3 and it was a real shock.

On Monday I have to take my secretary to lunch for her birthday. I'm going to order a salad with everything raw on it. I'm also going to bring sprouts and chopped veggies for the salad and my own dressing. I'll see how I do with that.

What a wonderful feeling to help someone else! I gave all my food to my friend I just stayed with - she is a single mom going to school & working full time. I felt very complete with the action - not "saving" anything "just in case". Great plan for the birthday lunch! Have an awesome day~

You've done so well in your 20 days! Being raw is a lot more fun once our tastebuds go raw, too. (I may have to write about that topic.) Hope your pizzas, and your weekend, are fabulous.
