Nursey girl had a rash :(

Rate this Entry
I did a SWF this morning, and I started to drink the Master cleanse lemonade, but then, I had to stop because it was affecting my 2 year old nursling. I felt SO bad for my sweet nursey-girl because obviously it affected her and she got a red rashed bottom from her poop touching her skin in her diaper. The cayenne pepper was probably burning her.

So no master cleanse because I'm still nursing. Well DUH! I knew this, and I had heard that fasts and MC's can dump toxins into the baby, and so I wasnt going to totally do the MC at all- just wanted to drink in the morning to see if it would help with cleansing, but even the small amount I did drink in the morning ended up causing her trouble. So my advice is to stay away from the MC while nursing!

I am detoxing enough simply from eating an all RAW foods diet during the week. And my widdle one can handle that just fine- I mean- she is TWO YEARS OLD so its not like I am her only source of nutrition, and I think she would even be fine with an all green smoothie 'fast' - as long as I don't put any cayenne pepper in it!

I feel much better today. I feel like whatever I ate yesterday that messed me up is out of my system and I feel light and yet comfortable. I am ready for some green smoothie action tomorrow! :)

aah Kindermama, how you just brought back some lovely memories for me. I nursed my daughter until she was 5! Of course by that time it was just our bedtime routine to help her drift off into dreamland. I nursed my middle child, her brother, until he was 3 and my first son until about 4 months (not knowing anything about breastfeeding as I was just 19). Those were the best days of our life together. No wonder I adore my daughter though! That is some bond.:)
