Getting Ready To Start

Alright here it goes.... I thought I would give this a try and be very honest with myself and everyone who reads this. I am 5'8' & currently weigh 234 lbs. I am actually very active/mobile for my size but as anyone could expect after 4 years of steadily gaining weight the aches and pains are starting to kick in.

My husband is an expert in Functional Medicine so I really have no excuse. I have all of the knowledge and resources at my disposal to be successful but choose not to. I am hoping by being a part of this group I will have some accountability and support to help get me through.

    Day One

    The first day wasn’t bad. I made a smoothie for breakfast, salad for lunch, avocado for a snack, and watermelon for dinner. I felt a little hungry still. The avocado seemed to be the most satisfying so I went and bought more as a stand by. I am proud of myself for getting through day one—I know that seems like a small accomplishment, but when you come home to brownies, lobster rolls, and sweet potato fries on the kitchen counter it’s a little tempting.

    Day Two was great. I had a tremendous amount of energy, but I had a hard time calming down all nght to go to bed. I woke up about 3am with an excruciating head and neck ache! I'm waiting for my husband to wake up so I can get an adjustment. It still hurts so I didn't sleep good at all

    Feel great. I've lost 7lbs since Friday! Sleeping really good now. about to go to the grocery to get fruit & veggies.

    Goal: Take Alissa's 5 day intensive class in Sept. Husband said yes :)
