I believe that we all are able to manifest whatever it is we want in our lives as long as it is truely for our highest good, and doesn't harm anyone. I believe that if there is something you want in your life, you can make a prayer about it and release it to your higher power, the universe, etc. But, you need to truely release it/let it go. I believe that we struggle when we become too attatched to the outcome of things. I also think that you can feed something negative to the point it becomes a part of your reality. Detox. Everyone talks about it. I honestly do not experience regular physical detox symptoms. Not that I think they are not real or exist, this is just my experience. If something quirky starts to take place in my body, I just don't give it the mental energy to manifest into something bigger than it is. I don't think I have to 'suffer' to be raw. I don't believe it is good for your body or especially your liver to do massive dumping of...well, whatever. Not that I am *SO* clean, its just I don't feed that thought process. I am not afraid of it either. I do believe that if you are afraid of detoxing yes, it will probably be worse for you. If you are obsessing about it, you are probably going to notice more 'symptoms' than if you just go along and do what you need to do. This is supposed to be a natural way of eating, which lends itself to a more natural way of existing, in my book. Why the struggle? Why create struggle? Go with the flow~~~~~
The above is a response I wrote in a post where the op was questioning food cravings, detoxing , etc. I just wanted to remember what I wrote, as it is immportant to me. After yesterday's 'stumble' with the rice fritters, I thoughtloooong and hard about why I did that, my feelings after (guilt, anger) and really wanted to look at this. If I am going to make this change in my lifestyle, to a more spiritual way of eating then I need to be more grounded and present when I eat. The eating of 'comfort foods' happens when I am not grounded and letting emotion take over in the driver's seat. I mentioned how I do not allow myself to experience detox symptoms...well, it isn't that I have never had a detox, just choose not to allow it to consume my thoughts. What I am finding now, is that the 'symptoms' I experience that I see as being uncomfortable are after I eat SAD foods, which in our house are actually very healthy versions due to all our allergies and restrictions but cooked nonetheless. For me, this is a sign, message, signal, whatever you want to call it, that I am getting off my path towards healing. This is a message from my body and spirit saying hey, what happened to the healthy foods? The healing foods? At this point if I am going to truely embrace this spiritual part of my path, the healing of my body part, I need to be truely grounded not only when I make my food choice but when I eat it. At this point, all the prep work for raw 'meals' isn't going to work for me. Simple has to be the way I go, especially for now. Making all the extra treats is fine, but meals really have to be simple fruit, veggies, nuts. Period. I still need to prepare foods for my kids/hubby and that takes enough time. They are not on board with the whole raw way at this point. I know the kids will probably end up being more like 50% raw maybe more. I am trying to slowly teach them about raw food, and foods in general in a more spiritual way. Its good for me to hear myself teaching them the things I myself need to remember. Maybe as they get older, they will choose raw on their own. This is not a lifestyle I will force upon them, as I see this as really being a lifestyle that one has to choose. I will continue to cook the most wholesome healing foods I can for them, with all the raw they are willing to eat.
This is such a journey, turning point, healing event...I have been getting ready for this time for a while, knowing it was coming. There is so much coming down my Path for me in the future and this is only the begining. Its all good. ;)
