5/15/08 ~ Day 28 ~ 4 Weeks In!

Day 28 ~

I can't believe it's already been 4 weeks!

So far, so good.

I need to make some recipes or something on Sunday, because I'm falling into the same old same old pattern again & I don't want to get burnt out on the same foods - plus my body needs the variety!

I am wanting some type of dessert & I think I'm going to do the "cheez it" recipe.

Does anyone have any suggestions for easy - super yummy desserts??

I have continued to walk for 15 min on my treadmill each work day - today was especially hard, but I just got done with it - I usually do it before work - but I opted to sleep in a bit this morning.

I am going to do the oil cleansing method right now & then I need to sleep a couple hrs before DBF gets home from his circle dirt track racing.

Dessert suggestions welcome! I have a ton of raw food books too!

Hi Monk. Have you got Alissa's book? They say her blueberry cheesecake and her date nut torte and blueberry pie are all super. I am keeping it all very simple at the beginning so as to not stress myself out, but I did make RP's Brownies - they should be here on the site. You can do a search. But they are so easy... Here's how you do them........

1 cup walnuts (unsoaked), 1 cup dates (pitted unsoaked), 1/4 cup cocoa powder (you may use carob if you like). Place in food processor, and blend until well blended. Press into a small springform pan. Refrigerate 'til you can insert a knife and it isn't too sticky. Personally, I made them into little balls and rolled them in raw coconut and stuck them in the fridge and they taste better each day. You can also put them in baggies and freeze them. Yum!

Thank you for your response islesgirl! Yes, I do have Alissa's book & I've always thougt about the date nut torte. I'd love to make the blueberry cheesecake when they are plentiful & in season. I have made the RP brownies once & put them in a pie plate, whipped up an avocado/cacao pudding topping - it was delicious! Thanks again~
