Well, this morning I did my exercise routine, which means I'm on the right track. And I'm starting to visualize in my head the ingredients and prep of fast/junk-food and stifling my oddball cravings for them. They really are disgusting. I try to imagine the kitchen and the storage area and the cows and chickens. I don't weep, but my stomach kind of turns.
I'm also a baby libertarian, but a bit more a deist (absurdist) anarchist. I'm trying to figure out how a real free-market would deal with GMO foods and pesticides. If demand would force companies to grow high quality foods instead of subsidies that force farmers to grow crap.
Started to read a bit of The Revolution: A Manifesto by Ron Paul. It relieved my concerns of his fascination with Ayn Rand, saying that he disagrees with her on important issues, but still feels that her work speaks to the movement of less government.
