Discomfort again :(

Rate this Entry
So i felt absolutely amazing this morning... and then everything went worse- and i noticed that it happened after dried figs ( i had a Lot i admit) and most importantly- Odwalla smoothie...right away, my stomach got weird...started "bubbling" or whatever and became an inflated baloon... maaaaaan this sucks! after that i kept eating here and there and WHILE I ALREADY feel like a pregnant monster (sorry lol i don't know why i have such a description) i feel like eating even more because i can't even tell when i'm full (I"M FULL OF AIR ALL THE TIME!!!)

So i guess i react badly to dried fruit and flash-pasteurised commercial smoothies.... i reallllllllllly want to go on a juice fast or smth (i went on one for just a day last week and felt MARVELLOUS MAAAAAAAARVELLOUSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) Perhaps tonight i'll go get a whole bunch of produce to be on a juice fast tomorrow....uhhh this bloating and stomach discomfort have been following me for WEEKS... i know i basically have to give a rest to my digestive system... how i wish i had another raw foodist to support me!

Oh my goodness dried fruit doesn't agree with me either...I have terrible bloating and gas with that stuff...Only in moderation will I ever eat it!
I will support you! I wish I knew more about raw foods, to give you advice. Right now I'm reading David Wolfe's Sunfood Diet book...it seems pretty useful (as long as I keep my bullshit filter on lol) I need all the motivation and help I can get....I's so hard being 100% raw, especially as a cook with all of the smells and food available...SO HARD...but totally worth it...I've lost 15 pounds in just three weeks! It's really incredible! But i'm still only around 90% raw...It's probably a good idea to do a juice fast...maybe I'll try that...

Hehe i think Wolfe's books are extremely informative. if you're not into his "stuff" just try to set it aside

when i "went raw" i was working for the college cafeteria! so the smells and everything was there! it was a bit tough.. but not really- i loved smelling it..yet i would not want to eat it :) and most importantly i saw students stand in line for the food- and they all looked so lifeless, sleepy, overweight, and confused..AAA!

I think they are informative about nutrition. And that's about it. I just don't think he knows anything about evolution, and I'm not really a big fan of his poetry haha...

Yeah I guess I don't have much willpower...That's why I love the raw food lifestyle because there are clear boundaries of what you can and can't eat, where before on other diets I would see a cookie or some pasta and figure that it wasn't TOO bad, and then the horrible junk food cycle would begin again. I still eat some things like condiments that aren't raw, but are still organic. It sounds like you have been raw for awhile...How long?
