Day 1
I'm back!
I did the 30 day Raw challenge back in November 06. It was hard because my boyfriend who agreed to do it with me complained the whole time and I got overwhelmed by all the food prep. The other thing that made it difficult was eating food that wasn't hot in the midst of winter. Yikes!!! I wasn't really looking at being a raw foodist for life - at that time it was a means to end - to look great and feel great for an event that I was attending.
I have recently returned from a meditation retreat where we were vegan for 5 days. I was amazed at the emotional clarity that I found when all the sugar and caffeine and what not was out of my sytem.
That is what motivated me to come back and do this again.
I am recommitting myself to the 30 day Raw Challenge.
I did my shopping last night, had a minor heart attack with the sticker shock of eating organic and raw. I hope once I am through the transition that the number will come down a little bit. My intention after the 30 days is to be around 90% raw. Maybe that will change, but for right now, that is the story I need to sell myself to stay on track for the next month.
Of course my scale needs a new battery so I was unable to cheeck on my weight this morning (I suppose it really doesn't matter anyway) but here is a report of food for the day.
Breakfast: banana, 6 strawberrie, 2 oranges - shake with green superfood powder added.
(It looked gross! Something about the greenBut tasted fantastic!!!)
Snack: a few walnuts and a date.
Lunch: spinach salad, cucumbers, sprouted wheat, clover sprouts, tomato, muchroom, sunflower seeds, radishes 1/2 avocado.
Will update later with the rest of my menu for the day.

But tasted fantastic!!!)
