Earth Day is my birthday

Rate this Entry
Coincidence?
Who knows.

All my life I've know I was born on a great day. Just no one else has seemed to care as much as I. Has this played a part in going raw? In feeling all this love for animals? In wishing all things natural but having to keep my thoughts to myself b/c no one else sees it my way? Yes. I think so. That and my parents too of course. Who we were raised by has everything to do with who we are when we grow up. Good or bad. :)

Oh dang, ADHD has reared it's head. Let's get back on topic.

Earth Day is my Birthday.

This is the first time in my ENTIRE almost 26 years that I've seen anything on t.v. and in the news, and posted at stores, and signs, and commercials, and coming from everyone's mouths, including all those famous beings, about Earth Day.

While I'm thrilled that it's finally coming to a head, I am also flustered that it only came about b/c of some go green campaign that started, what? 6 months ago? 5 months ago?

So, the news starts talking about it and suddenly it seems to be a fad. It feels like a fad. People will start to get tired of the effort and just go back to being lazy. I mean it's all about Go Green, but where are all the correct news stories about the chemicals in our food?

If everyone is so Go Green, how come I don't see more recycle trash cans sitting DIRECTLY next to regular trash cans ALL throughout the city?

Why can't I get my school to put the recycle bins back in the rooms. We are court reporting students. Do you have any idea how much paper we toss in the trash with bags of chips and cans of sodas and cookies and whatnot? At least I use 100% recyled paper from a company that makes the paper. The school doesn't even sell it.

I work for Hobby Lobby part time. We go through so many plastic bags and paper to wrap stuff up with. It's retarded. I'm always having to just throw stuff like that away. And with all that we have to wrap and bag, don't you know people are just tossing it when they get home.

I'm still happy that there is finally a recognition of all this. I know I haven't been raw but 8 months, but all this has been in my mind for years. It just needed to be drawn out by the right peeps. And starting here on RFT helped me with it.

I just pray it isn't a fad. I really pray that local farmers finally get what they deserve. Recognition for their hard work for natural.

Not sure what all I've said in my ranting and raving BUT hello to all!
I'm still in school full time, doing "okay".
lost more weight, not even trying.

Have a puppy named Charlie. I'm looking into natural things to keep his bones healthy and arthritis free when he is older. As he is part giant breed and part large breed dog.

I had to tear away a rib bone my mom and "step" dad gave him that he was actually chewing, eating, and SWALLOWING!!!!!!

Proceeded to research all that can happen if a dog actually eats bones. All the bone fragment damage that can happen, the esophogus puncturing that can occur and the x-rays of what happens to their insides that require serious surgery and even instant death. And sent it to her. I think I got through.

Hello, random Stacy.

Hasta!
