A Different Road

Rate this Entry
Well I see a different fork in the road for me. I have had another terrible night. I was dizzy & lightheaded, no energy and was up half the night. This could be several things.

I suspect I am just not getting the nutrition I need in this diet. My diet limitations are playing havoc on what I need to do. I can't drink much more than a quart and a half a day of water. Some days with the increase water content in the food I am eating, not that much. So this could also be dehydration.

I am also perimenopausal. I know that there are a lot of hormone changes going on in my body right now. I am trying to start a period now, just very light spotting since yesterday, basically just when I wipe sometimes. So that can make me tired but this dizziness is new for me. However I have read that it can go with monthly cycles as well as perimenopause symptoms.

I have 4 great RAW books now and I still intend to increase my raw food intake but I it is not going to be my only way of eating. I am going to look at the Whole Foods way. I have also gotten an 800 page book on that subject that is fantastic and incorporates many of the healthy foods we talk about on here. They also have some very valid points in that book.

For all I know maybe this was some detox symptoms, but whatever it is I have to fix it. I can't function like this and I have to work tomorrow. I am single, although with someone, self employed, with no insurance. So I have to be able to function.

This is a very hard decision for me and I will still be coming to the website for recipes and to read and follow everyones progress. Maybe at some point going 100% can be an option but for now I have to do something a little less than that.

No I will still come back here. I intend to still be very high raw, just probably not 100%. The premise of the other diet is also very healthy, high raw so I see that I can incorporate both styles, at least for now. Maybe at some point I will decide to go 100%.
