Day 3 - starting to feel it...

This morning I woke up about 30 seconds before my alarm went off at 6:45. I felt rested and ready to start the day. That NEVER happens to me - in fact, I sometimes don't even hear the alarm for a minute or two. I actually have the clock in my living room b/c I have turned it off while still sleeping! My husband, on the other hand, hops out of bed at 5 AM to hit the gym...

So I'm on day 3 of 100% raw and I feel great. Yesterday I ate a lot of fruit and a huge handful of cashews, as well as a big salad w/ olive oil and some avocado, sprinkled w/ lime juice. Yum. My favorite things are cashews and either majool or naeglet dates - they are almost TOO sweet already. It amazes me how quickly my body adjusts and really starts to TASTE food the way God intended!

I had some hummus yesterday and then thought that it's probably not raw - how do you eat beans on RAW? Tips?

I haven't had the bad detox symptoms like I did in January (horrible headaches, zits), but before that cleanse I was downing 1-3 Diet Cokes (with caffeine) a day! Ick! I had a sip of a CF Diet Coke about 2 weeks ago and I actually spit it out b/c it tasted weird.

Tonight is my tough yoga practice, and I'm looking forward to it. It's hot (high of 82) today and we're getting storms tonight so it shoudl be a good sweaty practice b/c of the humidity.

This is the best!! I love feeling so alive and healthy. My daughter cracked me up this morning - after breakfast we were reading and I was eating a date. She asked for some (she says dayyyy-t) and then after chewing it up, she walked away and said yummy dayyyy-t. :) What other 19 month old does that??? So cute.
