Many of you write the office and ask my staff about upcoming TV appearances, my Alissa Live! Show, my new restaurant - Grezzo, etc.. So since there are a lot of new and exciting projects in the works, I thought this would be a good place to keep you all updated on some of my raw happenings!

Figured its time for an update but it’s a lot of little things right now. Mostly getting my head back to other stuff after the restaurant opening.
I’m still there a lot but I’ve been back on the computer, writing some articles, fiddling with all the sites, alissacohen.com (new shopping cart and layout), changing around the Grezzo site and getting that done (lots of new press stuff and the Boston Globe just did a great article that will be out in April)….stuff like that… oh, just made labels

Nice to have a couple of days off! Wow, forgot what that felt like!
So the restaurant is a smashing success. My staff is fantastic, the food is amazing and its full every night. Now I can take a breather. It’s hard for me not to be there every single second but I had a meeting last night so I had two nights away and they did a great job there.

The restaurant is consuming my life right now.
I’ve been there constantly.
It’s been packed every night. Even Wednesday and Sunday nights are busy when everything else in Boston in the middle of winter is slow. So I’m thinking that its not just the curiosity after the first weekend of people waiting in line. People needed this obviously. It’s amazing to see all the different kinds of people coming through the door. Tons of vegetarians and vegans but a lot of local people just wanting to try

Wednesday and Thursday night went off so smooth! We were packed, a line out the door last night and people upset we didn’t have more reservations. Well, it’s a small place. It’s a whirlwind in there! I’ve met a few people from the board. Please introduce yourself to me when you come in, don’t be shy! Ok, lots to do and not enough time in the day. I’m running on empty but it’s a lot of fun. More updates soon!

It’s finally done! Well, almost…. Ok, it will always be a work in progress, but we are ready to open!!!

The restaurant is coming together! It looks so cool in there!
We were there till late last night setting up and unpacking small wears and putting things in place. A lot of the staff was there setting up stuff, getting the credit card machine going, putting silverware away, washing glasses… lots to do! I’ve got the greatest staff in there!!!!!
The lettering for the window went up yesterday and WOW!!! People started coming in to sit down while we were there. They were so excited even thou

I know its been forever since I’ve blogged.
January flew by. The restaurant is opening on February 13th.
Here’s a sneak peak at the walls.
My painter just finished the first of 3 painting and we have two more to go. The walls came out amazing and once these go up the place will look so cool.
We are already booked for the 7 o’clock seating for opening night and for Valentine’s Day but we have other times still open. So exciting!!!

Hard keeping up with the press about Grezzo this week! I’ve got 5 magazines and a couple of newspapers asking about it. I talked to Zagat today and tomorrow im going into town to take a photo for the Boston herald. It’s going to be the lead story on Wednesday morning.
Some TV stuff also, they want to film the grand opening…. So all very exciting.
It really shaping up in there, looking great! The web site will be up in another week or so.
More editing for AlissaLive! tomorrow as well.
