  1. Kind of Tired

    I had a good day. I'm kind of tired today because I didn't sleep all that soundly last night. Today is my exercise rest day and I'm going to try to get to bed early. Being overly tired always make me want to eat more than I should.

    Today I had:
    Half of a Green smoothie made with Kale, a banana, an orange, an apple and a cup of strawberries with 2 tablespoons of flax seed and 3 cups of water.

  2. Refresher Course on Persistence

    My mind and body are adjusted and ready. I am educated on raw and able to achieve a healthy balance of foods. I do not fear judgment by my family or friends. I feel a need to succeed. My mindset is resolute, free of doubt. I free myself with pure persistence.

    That is from my early blog days almost a year ago. I was reminded of it when I read a new member's thread today.

  3. To My Friends

    I have chosen to leave Raw Food Talk for a couple reasons. I won't talk about it because it's not important enough to keep talking about it. I just can't handle what has been happening here lately and I feel it's time to move on. I've been here 4 years, almost, and that's a long time to be on a board. I have grown so much, but now it's time.

    This seems silly, but thought I would give my good friends on here a nice goodbye...

  4. Commitment Issues

    The words "I plan on" are not a commitment. In my world those words are a set-up for failure. I say it when I would like to do something, but have doubts about my level of commitment or ability to follow through.

    Yesterday was supposed to have been a light day. It wasn't. Friday I had made up a recipe for a grainless cereal. Sunday morning I checked on it. It was done and delicious. I ate two bowls with almond milk for brunch. I'd probably be having another right ...

  5. I'm overweight... and that makes me HAPPY!!!!! (Day 141)

    For as long as I can remember I've been considered obese but this morning my height/weight ratio (as computed on Fitday) is no longer obese but overweight. :::sobs::: I knew this day would come but seeing it on the screen is overwhelming. I'm so happy. And, I have no doubt whatsoever that I'll be posting that I'm in the "normal" range by the end of the summer. :)
