    I'm in such a fantabulous mood this morning.

    I got up and did some Swahili practice in the new textbook I got yesterday. I enjoyed it SO much. As soon as it arrived yesterday I downloaded the audio onto my iPod too so I'm already good to go. One of the activities was to begin a monolingual Swahili journal or diary. Entries at first are supposed to be very simplistic and then grow to be far more complex as your fluency expands. I'm so excited I could squeal.

  2. This Stuff Works!

    So, got some really great confirmation at the doctor's office that the changes from switching to raw have been more than just psychological. I had my first physical in about two years, and asked my doc to do a full run on blood work etc. When the results came back, my doctor was stunned! Despite still being about 35lbs overweight, he said all my numbers were incredible. I don't need to have my cholesterol checked for 5 years, among other things.   3. Weight Loss Challenge

    Taking the plunge, making a commitment for one week.
    Eliminating all combinations of fats and sugars. Eliminating cacao. Eliminating meals after 7:00pm. Eliminating body fat.
    Adding more water, daily dry skin brushing, meditation, yoga, and dog walks or some other form of activity.


    Today's choices:

    Green Smoothie: mango, banana, pineapple, 3 medjool dates, lacinato kale, water, and ice. Delicious!

    Cold Nettle tea with E3Live.

  4. Fruit

    Tis the season....for cherries, melons, cherries, apricots, melons...did I mention cherries? How about melons?

    Sometimes I wish I was 10 people. There is so much fruit right now, I can't possibly eat it all, but I want to!

    This afternoon I made a fruit plate of 1/4 honeydew (I love that name...'Honey, do?" "Yes" I would answer-lol), cherries and a small blood orange. I was stuffed. Ack!

    1/2 a Green smoothie: 3 cups water, flax seeds, grapefruit, orange, banana, strawberries with kale and spinach

    avocado, banana, apple

    huge salad with raw dressing

    two Chinese cabbage leaves, almond butter, and raw jam

    apple, raisins, walnuts and cinnamon and a drizzle of raw agave

    Only a couple cups of tea today.
