  1. I am full of green smoothies!

    It's Day 11 and the word of the day is: "I am the Lord, the God of every person on the earth. NOTHING [no thing] is impossible for me..." (Jer. 32:27)
    Amen.

    I made 2 quarts of green smoothies but I am still working on the 1st one and its almost 3:00PM!!!! I hope I'm not getting tired of them cause I know they are so good for me. I am just so full!

  2. Finally started my Journal

    here I am...day 7 at 100% raw. Doing good so far...no real cravings or feelings of deprivation, though, I melted part of my food processor in the dishwasher, and am waiting for the new part to arrive in the mail. So, I've been without food processor for 4 days now. I am missing my fettucini alfredo, and want to make the pad thai. My husband, Steven, wants it too, though he is definately NOT raw, he does enjoy my food...even the green smoothies. In fact, on Sunday when I fed him the fettucini ...

  3. Day 18 - a visit to the OB/GYN

    Well, it was nice to weigh in yesterday, but I'm actually up a few lbs from last week b/c I have been eating too much - raw mostly but the extra stuff (cereal, cookies etc) is getting me... I was 141 w/ jeans and shirt on, so probably about 139 w/out - still up 2 lbs. But, that's ok...

    He took blood work - CBC, cholesterol and prolactin (my nemesis). I am waiting for the call on those. The last time my cholesterol was tested, I was eating meat and fast food (it's been about ...

  4. breakfast--nutritious breakfast

    Put two small apples, 1/4 cup sprouted wheat berries, 1/4 soaked almonds and honey in FP, then mix with raisins for breakfast. Healthy and filling.

    Will have portabello mushrooms for lunch. Mushroom topped with tomato, avocado, olive oil, salt(from AC's book).

    I thought the hummus (with carrot sticks) I made yesterday for lunch was a success, but PC thought the hummus wasn't smooth enough, need to add more olive oil.

  5. Day 4, feeling good

    I feel like I am on a "high" or something. It beats being a cranky gus... but it is just amazing how what you eat affects you. It probably helps also that I worked out last night. I feel so great after working out, you would think I wouldn't have to force myself to go to the gym, but that is how it usually ends up! My goal for today is to go to the gym for one hour.
