    Fuel:

    -blackberries
    -protein shake
    -dried mango
    -1/2 avocado
    -baby bok choy
    -lara bar
    -smoothie: dandelion greens, sesame seeds, maca, apple
    -smoothie: chard, banana, apple
    -lara bar
    -quinoa
    -peas w/ pearl onions
    -brownie...not okay

    Exercise:

    -full body weights
    -abs
    -20 min elliptical trainer ...

    Even before I got up this morning I already KNEW that this day would turn out a bit well...dunno... I JUST WAS NOT WELL!!!

  3. Day 2: Still climbing over the hump!

    Top of the morning to everyone!!!

    Yes, and what a glorious morning it is: the birds are singing, the sun is shining brightly, and I've MADE IT BABY!!!! Yes, I made it through the night without having ANY dead animal flesh!!!! My hubby stayed home from work and had some fried potato and onions (a former favorite of mine!) and bacon for breakfast, but I am staying true to my self!!! I had my breakfast smoothie and I feel just fine, no I feel FABULOUS!!!! It's still a struggle ...

  4. Day 6

    May 8th, 2007 - Lost another 1/2 pound! Woot! So, now I am down a total of 8.5 pounds in 6 days. Not bad at all!!!

    Last night before bed I tried adding some kale to what was left of a smoothie my son had made. The original smoothie had frozen strawberries, fresh pineapple, banana, carrot and I think an orange in it. It was already quite thick. I no longer have a Vita Mix (got one several years ago for $450.00 and it burned out after about a year of only sporadic smoothie usage! Need ...

  5. Day 4 & Feeling A-Ok

    Hey all -- thanks for your support yesterday, I really needed it. Woke up this morning and my headache is gone! Still sniffly and itchy (allergy, detox, combo, who knows) but I can live with it. I made some good progress on food choices yesterday by eating more whole fruits/veggies and relying less on seeds, nuts and avocado, which I love and easily gravitate to.

    So, Tuesday mornings are my long-standing weekly weigh-in. You know, just to keep accountable. But I'm not a daily scale ...
