  1. Meat & potatoes...

    Hello my pretties!

    Well I just booked my flight. Seems the raw classes are going to happen after all. (breathes into bag)

    Have a gazillion and one things to do before I go, so I'll be MIA for a while (again). I'll try to pop my head in for a minute or two. So talk amongst yourselves...hee-hee. ;) (always wanted to say that)

  2. ugh. bad day.

    Still 100% raw but I am not having a good day. I had a green smoothie for breakfast: kale, spinach, wheatgrass, apples, grapes and a little OJ. It was pretty good. I have a slight headache and my period is so heavy that I had to sleep sitting up and get up 2x to change the pad. Oh, I should mention that this isn't any ol' pad-it's the ULTRA ones for incontinence. I feel weak, tired, and cruuuudie. wah. I didn't drink ANY water yesterday. I had 36 oz of green smoothie, but I forgot my water ...

    Breakfast: avocado pasta (leftovers ), an apple
    Lunch: spinach and apple smoothie, almonds
    Dinner: lassagna

    Avocado pasta is the bomb! It may not look like pasta being green and all, at least since I don't have a spiral slicer, but it sure tastes like it! Too many raw recipes are aimed at making food look like cooked, but I think it's way more important to focus on taste instead.   4. Here we go again.....

    Today started out great but didn't end so well. Instead of making a smoothie, I ate a banana with a few spoonfuls of almond butter.

    I had to run to the mall, so I took Gabriella to the play area and we had lunch at the food court. After much discussion, I got a garden salad (with no cheese, croutons or dressing) and a banana, raspberry,blueberry smoothie made with water instead of their sugary base. Whew! That was a workout!

  5. Day 11 ~ 9/19/07

    Well.....hmphhhh

    I think cauliflower makes me feel bloated and fat!.....or could it be all of the crackers I ate?

    Yesterday I made the mashed potatos and gravy from Alissa's book - yesterday I liked them......not so much today......word of caution - do not keep the "potatos & gravy" in 1 dish in the fridge.....it ends up looking like "gray matter" - ewwwww!

    I think I will finish off the stuff in my fridge ...
