A Little of This; A Little of That

Just what I feel to write about at any given time... Mostly about health and fitness across the board ~ physical, mental, emotional, financial ~ or, sometimes, I may just run a rant.

  1. Fat to Fit? Getting walking!

by on 05-31-2009 at 11:11 AM (A Little of This; A Little of That)
O.k., got my new pedometer. I think I have it set up right now yet, if not, close enough. Decided to do the 10,000 steps thing just to see what happens. I love experimenting.

So, came home about 7:30 from a book signing last night and saw that I had over 2000 steps to go. Crap! Do I REALLY want to do that? Well, yeah! That's the commitment I made, at least for the time being, sooooo, got to walking! I ended up with recorded 10, 255 steps. The reason I say "recorded" is that, ...

  2. Fit OR Fat Leads to Fit

by on 05-30-2009 at 09:16 AM (A Little of This; A Little of That)
So, what does that mean? My question, when looking into the fridge continues. In our fridge, we've go a little tray where He keeps His cheese. What's really funny is, I don't even much care for the cheese He likes yet, the monkey mind, instead of hearing "I choose not have that" hear "I can't have that" and of course, it wants it! So, my question when looking into the fridge ~ "Fit or Fat"? Cheese is fattening, not to mention, when I eat it (or bread) for more than ...
  3. Fat to Fit 5/29

by on 05-29-2009 at 09:09 AM (A Little of This; A Little of That)
This morning I got up early ~ a bit too early to get up into the mountains. When I drove up there, it was just before 5 a.m. and, knowing there has been sightings of mountain lions AND it was still dark up there, figured I'd just go ahead and walk the neighborhood around the area, which I did.

I can't WAIT for my pedometer to arrive today as I am embarking on the 10,000 steps a day thing ~ well, when I can do that many. I'll be at Raw Spirit Festival starting Wed. p.m. so, don't know ...
  4. My new Pedometer...

by on 05-28-2009 at 10:03 AM (A Little of This; A Little of That)
... is on it's way! Now, I've had quite a few pedometers being that my husband use to have a promotional products business and we'd picked up samples from manufacturers, plus, I'd get them as freebies for doing this or that and, I have to say, they were all crap! I mean, really crap! I'd wear 3 at a time to see which came closest to my actual steps. One did, but there were other things I didn't like about it soooo, I checked on Amazon for some that were not so inexpensive and chose one. Should be ...
