A Little of This; A Little of That

Just what I feel to write about at any given time... Mostly about health and fitness across the board ~ physical, mental, emotional, financial ~ or, sometimes, I may just run a rant.

  1. Feeling good!

by on 07-29-2009 at 10:06 AM (A Little of This; A Little of That)
Been eating lightly yet well. Salads, cherries (lots of cherries), orange juice and water... getting up and training every day, sometimes more than once. Walking where I can, when I can.

Last night went to sleep somewhere between 10 and 10:30; awakened at 5, got up about 5:30. Did a quick online check, then went down to the sunroom and did some kb training and Turbo Jam. It seems as though the day will be cool enough to do more, later.

Last night's call was interesting. ...
  2. What is the benefit? Fit or Fat?

by on 06-19-2009 at 08:33 AM (A Little of This; A Little of That)
Recently someone was decrying how much money some raw food advocates are making on selling product (which, of course, they don't have to purchase) and today, I awakened thinking ~ what is the benefit?

In marketing, that's what they tell us to tell people. What the benefit is to purchasing what we are looking to sell, whether it's coaching services, product, books, etc. What will the purchaser receive from buying from you?

Well, those who are selling all the packaged products, ...
  3. Fit or Fat Update, June 18, '09

Another short one. Not much to say. Weight seems to be holding steady.

Yesterday, just over 7,000 steps BUT, did some bodyweight movements, played with my large 6# medicine ball and did some mace swinging.

Food ~ large salad for breakfast, cherries intermitantly throughout the day, Strawberry pie. What was a relief is, no matter how much I like that pie, it is waaaay to rich to have on a daily basis. I was gratified to open the fridge and see a HUGE chunk of it gone. (Guess ...
  4. Tue. June 16, Fit or Fat update...

by on 06-16-2009 at 11:09 AM (A Little of This; A Little of That)
Whew! Busy week and been slacking on updating here. All I can say is, on Sat. I think I finished with between 3,000 and 4,000 steps but I DID do some bodyweight and Bugarian bag training. Sunday I finished with between 6,000 and 7,000 steps. Yesterday, I took Ped off about 4 p.m. with almost 10,000 steps so I know I did waaaaaay more than that as I had class and class was TOUGH!

We started out with some bodyweight movements, 2# Indian Clubs (start with 1#'ers, even my teacher did and ...

    O.k., more dilemmas.

For quite awhile now I've been looking to eliminate 25-30 pounds of excess weight yet, really haven't put much focus on it until the last couple of weeks when I started my Fit or Fat program.

How that works of course is, when I look in the fridge and hear HIS food calling my name, I bring awareness to do I want to be Fit or Fat? The answer of course is....

As far as food goes, I've been very good! As far as training goes, I was doing ...
