A Little of This; A Little of That

Just what I feel to write about at any given time... Mostly about health and fitness across the board ~ physical, mental, emotional, financial ~ or, sometimes, I may just run a rant.

  1. Juice Feasting

by on 11-18-2011 at 07:36 AM (A Little of This; A Little of That)
I've been thinking about doing a juice and/or smoothie feast for awhile and today, I think will be the day. I may set up a group for it... not sure yet... or, just post it on my blog on my site Bodacious Living.

BTW ~ you'll find a few of your friends posting there on other topics as well.
  2. Should I....????

by on 06-21-2011 at 03:54 PM (A Little of This; A Little of That)
So many times on forums I'm totally flabbergasted when people ask questions such as: "Should I eat a whole avocado or only half?" "Can I eat more than one banana a day?" "How much fresh, raw juice can I have a day?" "Can I have juice all day and then eat something at night?" "Can I have juice and smoothie in one day or should I just stick with juice?"

Just like the money issue in my last post, I have to ask, who is in charge ...
  3. Consider This ~ Food Prices

by on 06-15-2011 at 12:38 PM (A Little of This; A Little of That)
Recently I had a discussion with a friend about food prices. He was telling me he had fresh berries in the fridge yet, he was only eating a few at a time because they cost so much. Now, he lives where I do and shops where I shop (mostly) so, I know how much berries are. Recently they've been running between 99 cents to $2.99 depending on which and the size of the container.

I also know that he goes out for coffee (regular) and a loaf of white French bread almost every day ...
  4. Use 'em or Lose 'em

by on 04-05-2010 at 10:41 AM (A Little of This; A Little of That)
Just like any other part of your body, your eyes need exercise.

Ever hear the term ~ repetitive motion syndrome? We usually equate that with wrist and/or elbow problems. With spending so much time on computers, reading and, for many, watching t.v., our eyes don't get the exercise they used to unless we do something to get them moving outside the little box we've put them in.

How to do that? The yogi's have created a series of exercises one can do to get them moving beyond ...
  5. Food Awareness Suggestion

by on 01-13-2010 at 12:15 PM (A Little of This; A Little of That)
Quite often I find myself throwing away produce because I forget I have it. When I purchase it, I have every intention of making smoozies with it or juicing it or SOMEthing. By the time I get it home and put it away, I often forget my intention or something else takes my attention and I never get to it.

Also as many of us have partners who tend to eat less healthy than we do OR, just keep food in the house we tend to crave, here's a quick suggestion to cover both scenarios ~
