ESPECIALLY no starving, deprivation or fasting. Eating REAL food, not products.... and, enjoying doing it! Thanks Lafs!

Thanks, Lafs! Took a long time to get the right combination of food (especially) and movement. :)

Yes, as MT says, one needs to be really ripe and soft; the other, hard. I have the hard ones and really don't like them soft. Didn't like the texture so I blended it and made it into "pudding". Actually, I've not even tried the others. I think mine are Fuyu and the others are Hachima? (not taking time to look at link... too much to do today!!!! O.k., that is one ugly, scare "happy" face.

on't let your experience put you off. Try to find the other type or let the type you did find go fully ripe - that means quite soft

Ok, my friend picked up a persimmon last week and we were both excited to try it. But our first bites flooded our mouths with this bizarre sensation. My mouth went totally dry and it was something like a mouthful of banana peel. What was wrong with out persimmons, lol?

I like them soft but still with what I call a "poppy" core. As you bite into the core area the it sort of goes pop in your mouth. They've got lots of yummy goodness in them - I was just reading up on the nutritional values and I just had two for breakfast and there are another 4 in my desk drawer for later

I like the harder ones. The ones I purchased yesterday are too soft and mushy... Fuyu I think... should be harder sooo, gonna cut 'em up and put them in a smoozie!!!

Aren't persimmon wonderful. I was eating them all last week as our local shop has them on special offer. I hope the offer is still on today, if so I may get some on the way home.

Revvell! That sounds like a plan. I just wanted to say that I have listened to your pod cast all week. You do a great job! I've been raw for 18 days and you have helped me get started. Thank you. You newest fan, Roni

It doesn't seem as though I can edit this so, here to add....

So far today I've eaten the popcorn (not microwaved) I made last evening and made a really good smoozie, some of which I shared with my honey.

I've realized this will not be a juice/smoozie feast. It's going to be a cleansing protocol. What that means is, I will be eating fresh, raw fruit, most likely some veggies (with no oil dressing) yet, mostly juices, smoozies and water.

Sunday I plan on going to a huge farmers' market in Hollywood and picking up some organic produce for my smoozies. On Wednesday, I'll go to the little shop up the street and pick up more produce... mostly greens. They've got fairly decent prices for being such a small business.

Oh! What my husband doesn't know is, he's just joined my cleansing program here. If I make it, he will eat it. So, there we are!!!
