    Tuesday 8/11

    I'm feeling like a bit of a failure today, though it has nothing to do with raw food or exercise. DS10 has always had a hard time with math (much like me) and, try as I might it's just not getting any easier for him. In fact, I think we're going to have to break down and get him a math tutor. Last year he worked one day a week after school with his teacher and a small group of kids but that wasn't really formal tutoring. Even then though, I could see that glazed over ...

  3. Training Day 45

    Sunday 8/9

    Sunday morning the in-laws came up and we all went out to breakfast at Cracker Barrel before going to Longwood Gardens. It's amazing that a place like Cracker Barrel carries no fresh fruit. Luckily I had eaten bananas before we left so I was fine. The best I could do at the restaurant was ordering a blueberry muffin with a chopped banana on the side. That was the only fruit they had. I gave the muffin to DS10 and ate the banana myself.

  4. Training Day 44

    Eeek... what a week. Well, would ya lookee there, I made a rhyme!

    So, yeah... it's been one heck of a week. I've been downright lazy and have eaten all manner of nastiness. It hasn't been EVERY day but there have been a few days where I really went off the deep end. Isn't it great though how every day is a brand new day?!?! A fresh start!

    Today while DS10 was in karate I walked up the street to return some library books. It felt good to get out there and MOVE ...

    Tuesday 8/4

    :::sigh::: I feel like I just had some sort of out of body experience... and NOT in a good way either. I just majorly binged on just about every kind of SAD food imaginable. All day I've been excessively hungry, like my stomach was some sort of black hole. I had a big smoothie for breakfast, a bunch of spinach dip with various veggies for dipping, 2 nectarines and then two raw food bars. Normally that's as much as I would eat in an entire day and I would be STUFFED ...
