30-Day Challenge 2.0

  1. Days 10 & 11

Man, I really need to get better about posting. I'm starting to forget which days are which.

Yesterday (Thursday) was hard. They had pizza for lunch at school and DS10 didn't eat it all. I took it to my office to wrap it up and man, it took every ounce of determination not to sneak just a little bite. I didn't though and I'm proud of myself.

Instead I had a HUGE bowl of banana cereal (4 bananas) with mylk, 20 oz. of strawberry mylk, 2 apples, grapes and spinach dip ...

  2. Days 8 & 9

Well, I have to say that I barely remember yesterday at all. I'm pretty sure I had banana cereal and strawberry mylk for breakfast, 3 - 4 apples, spinach salad, dates and grapes. I don't remember anything else and there were NO cravings. WooHoo!!!!!

  3. Day 7

    Monday 10/5

Yesterday was just another day, nothing either terrible or terribly special.

When I walked into the kitchen I found a little frog all covered in dust bunnies just sitting in a corner of my kitchen. My cat had brought it up from the basement as a gift for me. Super! The little guy was half dead when I found him but I still tried desperately to save him. A few hours after rinsing him off, putting him in a small tank with some leaves, clean ...

  4. Day 6

    Sunday 10/4

Not much happened on Sunday. I felt pretty cruddy thanks to the lovely PMS. After church I just went home and let DH do the shopping. At home I got some laundry done, pruned my herbs and spent the afternoon outside with my Bearded Dragon, Mango.

For dinner I made Raw Dawg Rory's Cucumber Aioli with Cheezy Cucumber Sticks. After the cucumber is sliced into noodles using a vegetable peeler it is doused in a marinade of EVOO, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes ...

  5. Day 5

The past two days I have been so busy I've hardly had 2 min. to sit down and exactly 0 min. to get online.

On top of working in the Spec. Ed. class, running literature circles for 5 classes and mentoring 2 students, I offered to tutor a little 3rd grade girl before school. This little girl is very sickly and gets bi-monthly blood transfusions for whatever reason. There are often days at a time where she is too sick to come to school. Her mom has been fighting with the school ...
