Monk~a few spoon fulls...a cup of this lasts me about 4 days.

Aleesha~I haven't really had mangos much since childhood. My mom fed them to my brother and I ...we loved them...then we broke out in a rash all over. My mom thought we were allergic. I purposely stayed away for fear. As an adult, I realize that it was the skin, not the fruit.
I am really looking forward to the honeydew I have in my kitchen right now, as well as papayas! Oh how I love fruits!

    Thanks Shel!!
I will have to try that - it sounds really good!!!
How much do you add to your smoothie?
  4. ShelShel's Avatar
Soak your cashews overnight and in the morning, cut up a pineapple fresh. Throw both into a blender. Two parts pineapple to one part cashews. Blend until smooth, pour into a bowl and let it set up for a few hours. I usually use whatever is still stuck to the blender to make my breakfast smoothie. When you want to make a really creamy smoothie take several spoonfuls of this cream, add water and fruit (greens if you want a green smoothie) and blend. Best smoothie ever! Makes all the difference in the world in the texture of the drink. Once I found this, I never wanted real milk in a smoothie again. I have my cashews soaking in the fridge right now.

Hey, Monk! Thank you. I am feeling wayyyyyy more motivate. I just brought home all my raw yummies. I even managed to fit in stopping by the health food store. Picked up some Kombucha, raw cashews (for pineapple cream to put in my smoothies to make them creamy), raisins and vitamin b complex. My thyroid is in major need of the extra b's. I'm ready to really press in to raw in a new and exciting week! (((HUGS)))

    Shelshel, you rock!!
There is so much I want to comment on in here ;)
Congrats on your very raw, not raw day first of all...I like how you realize having options makes all the difference.

And yes, there is something about the 'list' of faves that makes you feel like you have all the options in the world and why on earth would you need anything else! It's a real picker-upper for sure, lol.

I am considering just folding in my spelt bread to the diet plan for simplicities sake rather than making the crackers, but haven't firmly decided yet. I suppose at the very least they would be good in a pinch.

Skinny fun clothes.....oh you have no idea how much I can relate to that comment!! I am willing to be patient and just enjoy the baby steps right now though...and that is huge. But yes, way to keep your eye on the ball, babe!

Btw, congrats on the no coffee thing! Do you like black licorice? If so I will tell you about a Divine tea that I drink that is well...a complete addiction of mine.

    K...guess I will make a little blog too ;)

    Great job Shel!!!

When I worked at the factory - they asked me if I wanted to take a little breakdown of that class - 7 Habits!!! I did, and I remember how difficult some of the exercises were that they gave us to do.....the one about not participating in any talks about negativity sticks out in my memory....that can be a hard one....

Thanks for bring that up....I should find my book & give it another look, since I'm much more mature now........lol

    Thanks for sharing~

Wow Shelshel!! I really, really enjoyed reading the journey of your day and I think this idea has a lot of potential!

A very good day indeed! ...I have gotten the 7 habits thing from philosophersnotes.com ...it's one of the freebie sample ones they give you, but they highly recommend you read the book too ofcourse.

I am learning this thing about stress response too...it doesn't actually give us a license to eat whatever, lol...I like that you didn't eat emotional, that is So Awesome!

Shelshel you rock!! See just reading through this stuff you've left for me here has made me feel so much more happy...I was having the most depressing day for some reason, stuck in front of the pc doing a paper and just annoyed...and now I'm catching back the boomerang of good vibes I sent out earlier ;)
Smiling now even...how possible is it that community can have Such a strong effect??? Maybe that is our missing key girl!

awesome!! You're putting a smile back on my face :) ...makes sense about the blog. I have one too that I'm totally ignoring...the blogging world is very saturated I'm noticing.

Thank you so much Monk. You are always so kind. I feel like I can do this, I simply have to chose to. Sounds simply, but we humans are a stubborn lot. LOl
Thank you for taking the time to be supportive. Hope this finds you healthy, happy and Raw!

Congrats for getting yourself moving & doing some relaxing yoga!! It really helps me when I do that too.

Great idea - going back & re-reading your blog. I hope your internal flame gets stoked once again to the level you remember it!!

I did the same thing the end of Dec. (re-read my blog) - what I found was the more posting/blogging I did - the more supported I felt & that I wasn't "in it alone", so to speak. My motivation levels were higher & I felt happy~

I hope the same holds true for you, because you are loved and supported - no matter where you are at in your journey~~monk~
