  1. Smoothie kick

    So, lately I've been eating nothing but smoothies. I feel good for the most part, but I've been having some serious meat and cheese cravings...... so my body wants protein, right? Every night, I go into the employee dining room and see things like mac and cheese or chicken nuggets and it's all I can do to walk away! Haha! I made some nut cheese the other day and I really wasn't digging it this time around. Does anyone have any suggestions for meat and cheese cravings?

  2. New Year, New Me

    Well, this day has started off uber great! I've got my juice for sippin' while cruising the internet... got some great ideas for dinner and snack makings..... Ahhhh.... life is good.

    My juice is made of orange, cucumber, ginger, carrot and apple. It's got a little bite to it which is nice.

  3. In a good place today

    I have to admit, I was a little worried about how I'd handle Christmas. Sometimes I'm way too hard on myself. I did just fine and I'm continuing just as I have been. I know I need to set goals to keep myself on track and to change things up from time to time.

    Christmas is my birthday and I think I had a lot, emotionally, on my plate. Gifting, cooking, cleaning..... I invited my birth mother over and my (adoptive) dad. I know that they are both great people but I was still a little ...

  4. Sometimes being at work rocks!

    There is a great buffet in the banquet rooms at the resort I work at. They are serving breakfast and lunch for tons of employees today in appreciation, and to celebrate the holiday. Well, I head over there with my boyfriend (who works here, too) not fully expecting to see anything for me. Sure, they have things like biscuits and gravy, sausage, ham, bacon, potatoes and eggs......

    And what does my eye spy?

    A glorious PLATTER of fresh pineapple, strawberries, grapes, ...

  5. Recipes I love this week!!

    Salad dressing
    -----------------
    Avocado
    EVOO
    Bragg's Liquid Aminos about a tsp
    Orange Juice (to consistency)
    Sesame Oil (I know, not raw, just a touch for smokey flavor)

    I use baby romaine with herb mix, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes.
    I'm just loving it, and I feel better than usual lately. I've cut back on the fruit in the last week and I'm finding that the weight is coming off a bit more. Don't get me wrong, I'm still eating or drinking ...
