I wish we could get everyone to think this way as not only are we are harshest critiques but societies perception of what healthy is needs to change. Healthy is not a size zero and once we can all accept and love ourselves we will press the movement to love others just as they are as well. Doing a fast one day a week can help to clear your mind and body to wash away the "outside" worlds opinions. Alissa thanks for sharing!!

Great thoughts, I'am not my body, nor am I my bodies image, but the outside worlds holds me more accountable for my outside image which in turn makes me place more focus about weight on myself. What to do, how to deal. Typed that up and put on my desk for daily reading.

It sounds like carob pods to me. I don't know if they're dangerous to dogs. You could look them up and see if the things in your yard matches the picture of a carob pod.

I'm trying to comment on your most recent blog, "My Life As of Today" but am unable to do so, so was able to here:

Sounds like you are leading a hectic life. Aren't you nearing 40? Do you want children? If so, pls don't wait as those eggs are getting old!!!!

You can't always trust the dogs instincts. We had a dog who loved seedless green grapes and macadamia nuts. Come to find out that these are both verrrry bad for dogs.

I saw this new fruit at Kroger store. It is called Star Fruits. It does look kind of like stars when you slice them. Oh, the seeds are toxic. Wow! I learned something tonight to be careful eating this fruit. I almost bought it the other day but I had forgotten my purse with the money and had to leave the bag at the store to buy it later. I came too late to the store that they had put all the groceries back on the shelves. Ha!

Wow what an eye opener1 I was dissapointed because I wasn't losing weight, but this made me realize that there are other reasons for being healthy. I am sure eventually the weight will come off. No longer focusing on it though. Thanks!

We went to Grezzo the 3rd day into being raw. It was GREAT!!! My husband's 1st comment when we discussed taking the raw vegan diet challenge was,"Where and what are we going to eat when we go to the North End?" So, Grezzo answered that! The night we were there one of the deserts was a cheesecake made of cahews and bananas. It was the best cheesecake we'd ever had. Would you share the recipe?
Thanks for your dedication to and education of the raw foods way of eating.

So I guess to ere on the side of caution you should just remove the fruit, but they did say it's unlikely they'll get poisoned. But at least now you know!!

This is what I learned from the site:
Looks like Eriobotrya japonica, loquat. The seeds are very toxic, but the fruit is edible. The plants you have look to be burned by the sun or something. You may just want to remove the fruit.
    Agree with Loquat.
The fruit is edible; while the seed is poisonous, it is very unlikely to cause poisoning, normally it would pass through the gut unaffected (that's how the seed is dispersed in the wild by fruit-eating animals).

Northwest Arkansas needs you! Thank you so much for all you have brought to the forefront about raw food! A restaurant here would surely thrive and congrats on the food network spot, hopefully! I can't wait to watch every episode!

Please send a GREAT demo tape!! I love to watch food network but not since I have been eating raw. I mean, why even tempt myself. I love to cook/uncook so now I spend my time making raw recipes. I wish I was creative like some of the others..but I am content to make and try all the wonderful recipes out there. Maybe, you should consider central Florida for a restaurant???? I would love that! Savor your success and good for you!!!

I totally agree with rawfiredancer. When I had dogs, they completely tore apart my backyard and ate everything, except for one flower bush, which we later learned were very poisonous. So, trust your dogs, they'll know. But it would be nice to know what they were, so maybe you could eat them too!
