  1. Exercise <3

    When I'm not raw, exercise has literally no impact on my size/weight. I was working out like a crazy woman and not seeing results. So I stopped working out.

    Now I'm (mostly) raw, and was recently observing that I wasn't losing weight very fast.   2. Updates

    Nothing much earth-shattering has happened since my last blog. I still am allowing myself to eat SAD during a few past special occasions -extended weekend vacation w/ family, my in-law's annual chili party, for which my barley didn't sprout so I couldn't make Alissa's yummy chili Despite the fact that when I eat SAD, I try to keep it "healthy" and keep my serving size reasonable, it still puts a major damper on my weight loss.   3. March "Forth"

    Today is March 4th, which is a day with special meaning for me. It's my grandfather's birthday, and while he is no longer with us, I carry in my heart his legacy of persistence and determination. I am not perfect, every day I spend as a raw vegan is not perfect, but I am learning to live my life with balance so that I can maintain my sanity while supporting the somewhat radical choices I make in life.

  4. my body loves being raw

    so five days into this, I'm pretty close to 100% raw, whatever might not be raw in Larabars, I've got some non-raw vegan salad dressing that I ate a couple of times and something I tried making with a few canned chickpeas. My diet has consisted mostly of green smoothies, kambucha, larabars, flax seed crackers and salad. I've not had any cravings for bad food, and feel committed to continuing down this path.
