You can do it. I wish you all the best. Diabetes is why I went raw because I see what it has done to my family. Don't wanna go there.

Hi Jess. My granddaughter is named Jessica. Sorry about your blender. Could it be that it needs a new gasket? Just a thought. I love guacamole and might make it soon. Yup, I buy tons of bananas and freeze them all the time. Keep up the good effort.

I buy so many bananas that sometimes I feel like a monkey! And I always get really weird looks at the checkout when I come through with my 5-9 bunches of bananas! People just can not fathom eating that many bananas I guess.
In case you didn't know when the bananas get too ripe you can peel them and put them into a freezer bag and freeze them. Then you can make awesome "ice cream" or add them to your smoothies. They are so good that way! I tend to just let me bananas ripen and freeze them because I am totally addicted to the banana ice cream. It is amazing!
Sounds like you are doing really good. Have a great day! :)

Did you know you can make something like cream cheese with nuts? I haven't tried it with cashews, but macademia nuts and water (not much) in the blender turns out pretty good--I rely on it when I have cheese cravings.

Hopefully your mom will understand that you are trying to improve your health and not be offended. Good luck tonight!

Look at your reason 10. :)
Kids like to copy so I'm sure soon/eventually they will be asking for veggie wraps and green smoothies.

I ***TOTALLY*** understand how you felt!!! That's what I love most about RAW food...it's clean and pure! I honestly believe that when you're "READY", you will go 100% to RAW, commit, and stick to it.

Welcome back. You are a lovely girl - love the rose behind you. Perfect color for you. You know what? I'm sure I read somewhere here that someone quit smoking after starting her raw journey and I am pretty sure that was because she felt so much better. Makes sense.

Hang in there! I definitely have those days too : ) I saved up & got a juicer, it is the best thing going on!! I also use my blender (saving up for a vitamix, right now I'm using my mom's old blender from what I think could be the 70's..haha) to make some delicious green smoothies. That might be an inexpensive option to lean towards : )

You can start with an inexpensive juicer and see how you feel. It will taste a lot different than putting veggies in a food processor!

Yeah...don't juice without a juicer, LOL. You can use the juice pulp to make little dehydrator crisps...just season it and dry it.

Good for you not giving up!

I guess it depends on what you like to eat in the movies. I always liked a Big Bucket of Popcorn so, I take crunchy things like: sunflower seeds or carrots. But, I think a perfect movie snack would be "Crusty Califlower" Ummmmmmmmmm, I love that stuff. :)

I agree! Hey- there is a typo in your entry...I told her that I don't plan on ever eating raw foods again. It is in the third paragraph.

Definitely bring your own snacks next time...I am always miserable in the theater without something to munch on because I love popcorn. In NYC, I always just bought some raw kim chee & stunk up the place, LOL. Of course, I was also known to bring mojitos also....but I digress.

Don't let this bring you down! Keep on being raw !

Oooooooooooh! I'm so glad to hear that you liked TF&TF. I'm going to see it next weekend for my birthday. I've never been one to eat in the movie theater (never liked popcorn) but I'm taking a bunch of kale chips with me this time. I can't wait!!!!!

Yay for weight loss & being raw for a week!

I'm almost there with you, LOL.

It's good to have a raw food to kick the cooked cravings...one sweet and one savory usually does the trick. :-)

Congrats on your first complete week. I have seen my scale go up and down over the past week also a pound or two both ways. Thanks for blogging, it is very encouraging to know others are willing to do this journey also.
