The Journey of a New Seedlng!!
Well, i had a cardiac catheterization one year ago and was put on a statin drug. That's where my health journey began. I decided, after much research, to not take any drugs. I decided to never go back to that doctor's office again. I decided that the key to really good health was to eat really good food.
Then, i had to figure out what constitutes really good food. And raw food makes sense to me.
And i'm someone who can live off of chocolate, pizza and candy. So this is really very hard for me. On top of that, i hate vegetables.
This past week was week one. I have a very old small Cuisinart (my goal is to buy a Vitamix one day) and i made smoothies out of bananas, pears, other fruits and spinach. I discovered the salad bar at work and loaded up every day. I was so full that i couldn't eat much else after my salad.
Then, the major thing for me, i only ate when i was hungry. That is a major breakthrough for me. I waited until i felt hunger pangs and then i ate, sparingly, until i was satisfied. I listened to my body, another new thing. I was careful with my food, paying close attention to every morsel going in.
And this first week i lost 15 pounds!! So we'll see if i can maintain this as a lifestyle, which is my plan. I love it, so far. I feel free from counting calories, and i feel "light" even though i have about 105 more pounds to lose. I am no longer dizzy. I feel great!!!
