  1. Next Thing to go...Coffee?

by on 01-16-2009 at 01:06 PM (Rawlight's Rawlife)
As I evolve (or transition) into higher and higher raw, I find it interesting how organically the cooked foods that I love one by one start to fall away. Coffee has not tasted that good lately and it occurred to me that I might start thinking about letting it go.

Last night it was really pressing on me and when I woke up this morning I decided to give it some thought. I actually do not want any right now, so I am not forcing the issue. I am dreading the caffeine headache that I know

  2. The New Year has Finally Start for Me-lol

by on 01-13-2009 at 11:39 AM (Rawlight's Rawlife)
After a less than stellar start of the New Year (my whole family came down with the stomach flu on New Year’s Day and I had to keep driving back and forth to my parents to help with things for the next several days), I am in a better place. I am still not 100% raw, but I am less stressed out about it. My goal is to be healthy and happy, not stressed. So I will just see where this takes me.

I am having a great day, which started last night ) Today I am another year older, it is a new year and everything is clean and ready to begin anew. Part of my motto for today is "What happened in 2008, stays in 2008" and thank God-lol!! Now it's on to a new beginning and a bright new year!

Wishing all my blogging buddies a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous 2009!!!

Hmm, I don't know how to undelete a post. I really just wanted to edit it. Oh well...Moderators?!!

Yesterday was such a nice day. I spent it with a friend in Pasadena at the Huntington Library celebrating our birthdays. It was warm and sunny, so it made walking through the grounds and in and out of the buildings so nice. We were going to go out to dinner after, but I was concerned that walking and looking all day would make me hungry and it's hard to snack in places like that. You ...

  5. Beautiful Basil :o)

by on 12-29-2008 at 01:05 PM (Rawlight's Rawlife)
Yesterday morning at the farmer's market, I got a bunch of fresh basil so I could try a pesto. Oh man, what a smell, or I should say fragrance. I made the pesto and everything in the kitchen smelled like basil for hours. It was so nice! And the pesto wasn't bad either. I again used recipes from Alissa and Jennifer Cornbleet and combined the two. Interestingly, I had been soaking lots of walnuts for a pate, and realized when I got home I didn't have quite enough pine nuts for the pesto, so I combined ...
