  1. t-day

I am having abit of the dumb. I forgot how to get to the blogs!
I went to thanksgiving with some friends of mine. There was nothing raw to be had. But it was on a farm and the turnips were from seed stock that was discontinued 40 years ago, they were great cooked, so I want to get my hands on them raw. I've asked for some seeds when they collect them again. Yeah!
Did I mention they made 5 kinds of pies? 5!!

  2. Disappearing act.

    My Goodness!
I did disappear, didn't I. I think out of shame. I just can't seem to get the 100% together...
A bit of a financial crisis has made it difficult to buy quality food.Ugh.
It seems that just overnight I gained back the weight I had lost, but I am still going to work at it. Dammit. I will.
Maybe I will be able go all the way someday soon.
I'll try not to disappear again...;)

  3. Binging and craving.

I wonder if craving things is purely psychological or if there is indeed a physical element to it. Thinking on the recent, ramen/milkway binge I went on. (I ate so many milky ways I swore I gave myself mild diabetes.)
I was comparing it over and over to the dopamine withdrawal one feels at the end of a relationship.
I wonder if, after all your life you eat one way and the same things, that a sudden shift makes the body afraid and sends out defenses (detox being one of them)

  4. wow. Ramen.

So last thursday I blew it in a wierd way. I gorged down 3, I'm not kidding 3 packages of ramen noodles!!!!
    I'm surprised I didn't puke.
I could have sworn my weakness was going to be bread.
I am trying to stay focused on the raw foods, but I'm wondering about it. I have had diarrhea and the worst case of zits in my life (seriously even when i was a teeenager my acne wasn't this bad.)
I would have thought that three weeks would have been enough to have detoxed all that ...

  5. Bread... I need Bread.

I am the first to admit to my serious bread addiction. I love bread, all kinds of bread, I love flat breads and crackers, fluffy and crusty, seeded and herbed, rich buttery yellow breads and hard as a rock peasant black breads. Wheat, oh, give me wheat!
This is the hard part of this raw thing for me. I had bread at every meal sometimes it WAS the meal. I am finding that i don't like the raw breads because they have a bitter under taste. Like the dehydrating makes the oil in the nuts go rancid. ...
