  1. Day 24: Emotional, Physical and Apartmental

by on 08-10-2009 at 11:48 AM (This is my Nineveh!)
So the cleansing continues. I'm back on track two days strong with my smoothies, pate, marinara and pad thai.

Emotionally I've been a bit up and down, but that comes with facing the unknown. This stems from opening back up to my ex who went over seas for medical school. I have to be frank, 3 years over seas, I made it through three semesters before the doubts plagued my brain. We'd been together for almost three years but I couldn't shake the horrific feeling of being left behind. ...
  2. Day 17 - Fighting the downies...

by on 08-03-2009 at 10:23 AM (This is my Nineveh!)
Today started very very slow. I woke up in the middle of the night and just couldn't get back to sleep. A few hours tossing and turning later and I was finally comphy on my air mattress and off to dream land. (Yup. .. air mattress.. recently moved and lost pretty much everything I had but am hoping to get a new box spring and mattress in August.)

I ache something fierce today which is pretty lame, but I'm reminding myself it's for the better.

    I haven't eaten anything ...

THAT was amazing because not only did I sleep a full 8 through the night, I woke up a few minutes before my alarm went off on my own. I still hit the snooze button and enjoyed my warm fuzzy bed and sleepy black cat who was

by on 07-20-2009 at 11:33 AM (This is my Nineveh!)
    Good morning!

    Well, almost afternoon.

Yesterday was a great day. In church we finished up a 6 week series on the book of Proverbs. My Sunday school class went out for lunch and I had a salad with cashews on it and every vegetable that the Chinese restaurant had on it. MMMM snow peas!

At lunch I found out that one of the ladies in my class was trying to reverse diabetes on the South Beach Diet. We ended up chatting about raw food and we're making ...

  5. Day 1 - Oh why did there have to be cheesecake?

by on 07-18-2009 at 01:41 PM (This is my Nineveh!)
Today was day one! And it's going prettttty fine!

My lunch is a salad with arugala, spinach, cucumber, tomatoes, clover sprouts, mung bean sprouts, cashews. The salad is dressed with raw blue agave and celtic sea salt.

I brought with me, in addition to my salad, a gallon of filtered spring water with a table spoon of honey and half a lemons worth of fresh juice which cooked out in the sun for a bit, a bag of veggies and nuts and a bag of cherries and blueberries plus ...
