  1. Day 5

    Still going strong. Been feeling a bit lightheaded lately, not sure if I am detoxing, need more calories, or if my thyroid meds need adjusting. So, I downward adjusted my thyroid meds ever so little (this is with permission of my doctor).

    I had a big green smoothie for breakfast of kale, apple, lemon juice, hemp seed oil, and plum today. Was very nice.

    Had a big salad when I got hungry, and then made vegan lentil soup and had homemade bread for dinner.

  2. Day 4

    Day 4

    Feeling pretty good. Was hungry when I woke up (and had a substantial salad before going to bed). I added corn and cooked potatoes to the salad since I don't want to detox too fast. Hubby is a raw advocate and told me that the headaches could be because I need more water and also, I'm going too fast on raw.

    I'm now slurping on my green smoothie, which today I strained only half of it (the dogs get the pulp in their food). The dogs get a lot of fresh veggies ...

  3. Goobygirl - The first week

    I am on day 3 and the headaches I had the first two days are gone, Yippee!

    I made a green smoothie with kale, an orange, lime, and alfalfa, and the alfalfa left much to be desired....a very strong taste...

    Here's the last three days of meals:

    Wed 9/10 -

    B - green smoothie (cilantro, apple, water, lemon)
    L - guacamole with parsnip/beet chips
    Dinner - cooked chickpea soup (veggies, tahini, bulgur wheat), slice homemade ...
