  1. Today's a Sad Day

    My grandma unexpectedly passed away Friday. I was caring for her because we thought she had the flu, but she didn't. She ended up having a ruptured aneurysm, and I had to call an ambulance to take her to the hospital, where she passed.

    Today was the funeral. I'm very bummed and haven't ate well, raw or otherwise. But, hopefully I will be able to find my way back once things calm down.

    So, I'm just going with feeling sad until I don't anymore.

  2. All cooked today except one raw treat

    Funny yesterday I did all raw except for three salad toppers and today I did all cooked except a smoothie.

    The one thing I was noticing is that eating a green smoothie in the morning produces 5 (or more) bowel movements per day. This was a bit overdoing it for me! I don't know really what to do, whether to cut back on smoothies or just let it continue. With a mostly cooked food day, I only had 2. The GS also make my stomach very gurgly, and yesterday for the first time, I felt nauseous ...

  3. All raw except for three things today

    I made it all raw except for my salad tonight which had 3 non raw (but of course vegetarian) things in it including the dressing, 1 oz of cheese and garbanzo beans.

    I think I did quite well today. I didn't start out thinking I would do raw all the way (which technically I didn't) but it does seem like a milestone of sorts.

  4. 5 Weeks and 1 Day

    I am down 7 lbs ! I am imagining another 6 lbs as my goal weight, however, it is more important for me to feel healthy and have more muscle than it is to be at a certain weight.


    As I've mentioned before, I basically stay raw until dinner. My green smoothies make me stay full about 4-5 hours, at which time I'll have a large salad.   5. One day away from Five Weeks

    I have been slowly adding raw to my diet, trying new things, reading online and off like crazy.

    It will be five weeks on Tuesday, the time flew!

    I have kept the green smoothie in my diet, and I enjoy them. I have tried a few things, like a raw chili which I liked and stuffed into peppers.

    I made a raw zucchini hummus/garbanzo sprouted (didn't like the garbanzo beans much).

    I have some nuts every day, and a couple avocadoes a week.
