  1. Not Tired Yet

After digging up a huge plot of new garden yesterday, I had my first day at work since going 100%. That is, I've been hovering around 90% for weeks and went 100% after the Fast Failure of '08 a few days ago. This is also my first time working after/during a period of being mostly/completely raw.

And let me tell you, there's nothing like riding a bike 10 miles into a job where you pedal around 400+ pounds of overweight/drunk/sleazy sports fans for 7 hours. I'm not running raw marathons ...

  2. Good Things

I've recovered with a sense of brilliance in my heart. Eating raw, feeling simple. I saw many dear friends yesterday and later ran into one who was also very close to the boys. I told her about my experience the other day. As a Vietnamese, she just stared at me lovingly when I told her I began to sit zazen again a few weeks ago (that's right, Tiggerbounce!).

I'm actually looking forward to work tonight, which is unlike last week when I was so depressed I just canceled my rickshaw ...

  3. Day 1

    Preface:
I became Buddhist officially when I was thirteen and practiced through until I was about 16 or 17. Besides meditation, I also did a lot of fasts which gave me a certain clarity about my self and other people and conflict. It was very meaningful to my development.

I know that I have been angry for about two years. Life was incredibly rough with my family for a long time but that was nothing like the anger I've developed through one really difficult breakup (my choice),

  4. The night before

Tomorrow I begin the cleanse. My first goal is 3 days. While I would love to go longer, I'm not sure how my lifestyle with adapt to such a calorie decrease. I currently ride my bike about 10-15 miles a day on average, run and drive a rickshaw a few times a week for work.

That said, I'm very excited to begin and hope that I can actually go much longer that three days.
