It's great you're on day 5!! Is that the longest you've gone so far? and you're influencing the people around you? amazing!

Talk about crazy dreams.... in my first few days of juice fasting I had a dream that I was trying to eat this huge burrito...it was slathered with spagetti sauce and bits of hamburger were stuck to the outside. Every time I tried to take a bite the hamburger bits kept falling off. I don't recall ever waking up smiling before that! So ridiculous! --

The kids kinda drove me crazy too in the beginning! I have two teenage girls and they have a tendency to fight A LOT! During those times I just have to disconnect. Put my earbuds in and listen to meditation music or maybe even something upbeat. Taking walks with music is a great help for me too.

That is such a good idea to juice with others! Will definitely make it easier and more of an experience for you all - that's awesome!

    Good luck!!!

It's so easy to get swept up in the tidal wave of life and shelve yourself. :/

Maybe you have worms and maybe you don't. The point about RAM is that she didn't have worms on day 8. She passed them.

Don't beat yourself up over eating a bit of SAD food. You ate it, you can't change that so don't compound the bad feeling by making yourself feel bad. Just get on with the next raw meal.

Also, if you think you are going to feel dreadful you will; whether you eat sad or raw.

That is a great strategy, I've never actually heard or thought of that one before (3) I'm going to try that too!!

    2 things I'm doing...ok, well 3.
    1) reduce stress....learn to say no, learn to let go
    2) actually that was the learn to let go part, lol...but seriously, if you can't avoid the stress, try and put it in perspective...do you really need to have the anxiety response you are having to it?
    3) address your diet from both ends...yes you are aiming for raw foods, but if you fall off the wagon, try and make a new rock bottom that you won't cross. ....that could be gradual...like for sure, you won't eat x. Just x. y and z are still possible, but for now and for life you are for sure quitting x no matter what astronomical stress hits you. ...and once you feel like x is not an issue, fold in y. I am having better luck making 'x' not too big and not too small...like if it was just chocolate bars that would be too small, I would need to cut out all unhealthy forms of chocolate for example...otherwise I will just start eating chocolate cake, lol.

Anyways this is working for me...but a work in progress ofcourse.

And don't beat yourself up if you slip up. Just resolve to do better the next day, if you can. Just remember all the little accomplishments you have made. And definately try to keep supplies in the house. Even if you're not juicing just snacking on fruits and veggies is very very good for you. You should really aim to do a water fast on a day when you don't have much going on because that will really change the way you want to eat for the better. 24 hours is easy too because when you break you can have some juice or you can have fresh fruit. The longer fasts are more difficult to break and that is the hardest part!!

Hey, don't get down on yourself! It's normal to be stressed, especially at this time of year. Just stock up for your juicing and set your day... I'll even do it too!

My local raw food restaurant let's you buy whole cheesecakes...maybe that could be an option for you? That's what I'm going to try doing....they have an Amazing pumpkin pie too. Probably going to break the bank though, lol.

You might try making a raw cheesecake to take with you.... Surprisingly simple to make and soooooo good. As far as entrees go, I made marinated portabellos for my main course on Thanksgiving and I didn't miss the Turkey a bit.

Ordering some food from a raw restaurant to have for Xmas sounds like a great idea. I've been wondering what I'm going to do. But I'll be in Michigan visiting my parents so there won't be a raw place around and I'm going to be there the entire week before christmas so I can't exactly get anything ahead of time...Not sure what I should do. I am definately not letting my family pressure me into eating stuff that will hinder my goals.

I'm glad you're feeling better, though! Today is the best I've felt during my fast so far, too!
