  1. ::::Sigh:::::

    I'm starting over again. Tomorrow. Why is it so gosh darn hard for me??? Maybe because I've grown so accustomed to being this way. Alissa describes one of her clients in her book as having been "Comfortable with being uncomfortable." It's scary, but that's sort of the way I feel. I've just been this way for so long. Ever since I've been really heavy, I've asked my boyfriend to do a lot of things for me that I am capable of doing myself (Like getting me a glass of water and other ...

  2. I made it threw an entire day 100% raw!

    No, not a big deal, but no small feat for me!!! I fell way off the wagon recently and finally got back on. Thank God. I don't plan on getting off again because it's just too stressful going back and forth. I'm very all or nothing, which can be a blessing but can also be a negative. If it means you're all healthy, then it's a good thing, and this is the end of the spectrum I plan to be on.

    Alissa says in her book that she hesitates to call raw a "way of life" because ...

  3. Yayy!! Leafdom!!

    I'm a leaf. I know it's not a big deal and it's kind of silly to get excited about it but I get a little thrill anyway. It's just a fun little thing on this site. It's not a status thing for me. It's just a reminder. It gets me to think about how much knowledge I've attained being on this site. How many welcomes I've given to newbies. How many times I've said, "Congratulations! You're transformation is so inspiring." Of course I've meant every word. Being a lead is such a small ...

  4. The Oil Cleansing Method

    I think the castor oil and evoo blend work better in the way of cleansing my skin, so I'm going to start using that again. Coconut oil still rocks, though, and I'm going to continue using that to moisturize my whole body (it smells InSaNeLy good!!!!!) I'm so hyped up about this because it's so simple. What a simple, sensical idea: cleansing you skin with oil. Your skin has a lot of oil in it (or on it, I should say), so it makes sense that you would use oil to effectively clean your skin instead ...

  5. All I can say is....

    WHO NEEDS EXPENSIVE, TOXIC PERFUME WHEN YOU HAVE COCONUT OIL!!!! Phew, glad I got that out. I have always loved the smell of coconut and have been looking for a coconut perfume that really smelled like coconut for a looonnng time!! Duh!! The oil is the perfect answer. It's great to moisturize your entire body with, cleanse your skin, and of course, use in delicious raw recipes and take as a diet aid. I'm totally hooked on it as a beauty product. Why use super-expensive body creams and facial ...
