  1. to err is human.....

to do better tomorrow is the goal! I have been eating raw for over two weeks and have already begun to feel the wonderful effects like more energy, less asthma, no food cravings. Tonight I ate some cooked food at my holiday party. My co-workers had made an entire selection of vegetarian food just for me. They don't know I am eating raw. It hasn't come up at work, and I am trying to just do it quietly. Anyway, there was no polite way to eat nothing, so i had some. I don't feel like it was a ...

  2. Greetings Rawlings!!!!

I am proud to say that I endured a challenge today. My daughter and I are both taking college classes and today was a final exam day for both of us.
We left campus at 7:30pm hungry and tired. As we were passing pizza hut my daughter asked if we could please go in and dine. Well, she is such a sweet daughter and she was so tired that I relented. I didn't really want her to eat that nasty food, but I have decided to lead only by example , and not by pressuring or pushing. I am happy to say ...

  3. essential equipment?

I am wondering what people thin is essential equipment for the raw food lifestyle. I have a juicer, but i'd like to move away from juice and toward smoothies. My regular blender works for some things, but not really nice smooth smoothies. Is the Vitamix the best way to go? What about the little Bullet blender? I am looking for used ones on ebay. I know I can't afford a dehydrator just yet. I have very limited money right now. I am working part time and taking classes. Any thoughts or advice? ...

  4. second week raw

Hello! I had a hard night with rawness last night. It was so cold and I just wanted warm food. Then I discovered the thread about miso soups. It was just what I needed. I made a nice soup with dehydrated mushrooms. There is so much information here. It's incredible! Today my daughter and I made an Indian style carrot salad with raisins, shredded coconut, grated apple, goji berries, and spices. It was yummy and satisfying and... it was the first raw recipe that I came up with. We ate it all up! ...

  5. keeping it going

I have been eating only raw foods for over a week now. I haven't had time to try recipes yet. Just living on the naked foods. I am being careful to not let myself get too excited yet, it has been only a week, but the cool thing is that my usual cravings and that desperate feeling that causes me to overeat are going away. I came home late and tired today. I could have gobbled up anything. Instead I had a huge bowl of chard, daikon, romaine and carrrot salad. Then I wasn't hungry anymore. I do miss ...
