  1. Feeling Better

AHHH, finally I am feeling better. I am gaining back my raw energy. My cough and congestion persist, but they are improving.
Tonight we had a yummy dinner of yellow squash pasta with a sauce made of tomatoes, a little garlic, fresh basil, olive oil, and a bit of avo for creaminess.
On the side we had "massaged" rainbow chard with olive oil, salt and pepper.
My daughter has joined me for a month of raw. This makes it so much more fun! She really enjoyed the dinner ...

  2. Cheese teaches me a lesson

The short version: I was raw, I felt good, I ate cheese, I got sick, sick, sick, back to raw.

The longer version: I began my all raw diet on Dec 7, 2007. I had terrible asthma, a mysterious headache/fibromyalgia type disorder. I hurt all the time and the headaches were driving me crazy. For some reason all my nerves hurt. It is a very bad feeling when nerves are unhappy. I weighed 192. That is hard to say publicly, but it was true. And I am short (5'2"ish)too. And low energy? My ...

  3. visiting my relatives and rambling on

Greetings to all and Thanks to those who replied to my little Christmas post.
I will be out of town for a few days doing my best to stay raw. This will not be easy and I know there will be a few times when cooked food will pass through my lips, and most likely go down my throat as well. I have struggled with this and I have decided to let it be. I will not create extra damage by fretting.I am visiting my step mother and my sister in Montreal. I got an email today telling me that they were ...

  4. Blessings and Gratitude

Today is Christmas. I spent the day very quietly with my daughter. I gave her a vintage ring and earrings from a nearby antique store. She was very happy! We practiced our hula hooping. She is good and I try! It was a lovely peaceful day. I uncooked some delicious date and almond balls rolled in coconut. It was slow and sticky. A rolling meditation. While rolling, I spent a great deal of time thinking about how fortunate I am to be able to sit here in peace and to choose to buy and eat beautiful ...

  5. one foot in front of the other

I have had no trouble getting back to raw after my little detour on Friday night. I just climbed back on that raw horse and was off! My body though, is still feeling the effects. My asthma returned today and I am wondering if I am just now detoxing from the cheese I had 36 hours ago? Dairy products, especially moldy cheeses, not fresh nuts, and very high fat foods make me wheeze. Oh, and also environmental molds. It is very warm and rainy here today with all the snow melting away. Perhaps the little ...
