Thank you for the encouragement! I need it. Exercise is not my thing, not yet anyway! My weight loss has been erratic already. I am trying to just let go and trust. If I eat raw and exercise, the weight just has to come off at some point.

Oh, and as time goes on I am finding that I go stretches of working out and eating great and ~nothing~ seems to happen. 1-2 weeks....and I start getting really frustrated. Then one morning BAM shifts happen and for the next few days I'll drop a pound a day. I know it's different for everyone, but if you don't see results....don't give up. Could be you "cycle" like I do.

I had the exact same reaction - gained weight when I started exercise. I definitely believe it's a fat-to-muscle "rearrangement" going on. Complex stuff...but knowing it's still RIGHT to do is key and not relying on the stupid scale. Awesome!

My thoughts are....if I did it yesterday...I can do it today!!! You can do it girl!!! Good idea about the scale!!! I am going to do that as well!

I am happy to see that someone else is sprouting like me. I have at least 4 or 5 jars on the go at any time. I especially like a "crunchy bean mix" that I have found. I also sprout quiona. Yes it is a little bitter but mixed with a salad or in a raw soup it is really good. Take care.

Hi progressing! I tried to send an email, but it wouldn't allow it. It's nice to know there is another rawbie in the area. I haven't met anyone else doing this here. I've been raw for only 3 months now, but I feel very good about it.
My life is pretty much laid bare in my blog if you want to know all my personal secrets :) How long have you been living this raw life? Are you gonna blog here? Are you working, in school? Thanks for contacting me!

    Shashibala,

I came across this site and saw your location as Syracuse, NY. That is where I am, too. I know finding a local fellow rawfoodist is rare, especially in certain parts of the country. I moved back recently from SC and am so happy to back!

Just thought I'd touch base with you and let you know that you do have company in the area. (unless maybe you know of some other rawfooders in the area).

    Progressing
